Trump and Alabama Senatorial candidate Roy Moore share a lot of personality traits and beliefs; none of them are good. Both men are sexual predators, white supremacists, homophobes, Islamophobes, misogynists, and are not very bright. Both men are also in denial of their crimes. Today I learned that they both idolize Vladimir Putin.
Last summer Moore was interviewed by The Guardian which quoted President Ronald Reagan as once calling the Soviet Union “the focus of evil in the modern world.” Reagan made the comment during his “evil empire” speech in 1983.
Moore’s response revealed more of his prejudices and why he should not be allowed to have a seat in the United States Senate.
“You could say that very well about America, couldn’t you?” Moore said. “We promote a lot of bad things.”
He then used same-sex marriage as one of the ‘bad’ things about our nation.
Choosing ignorance is not an excuse. Moore and Trump are poster boys for the reasons why our nation will never be great. They are the worst of America and must not be tolerated.
When the interviewer pointed to that fact that Moore’s views about the LGBTQ community were in line with Vladimir Putin’s, he replied:
“Well, then maybe Putin is right,” Moore said. “Maybe he’s more akin to me than I know.”
Oh, you are very much alike, with the exception that Putin is an intelligent man who is playing Trump like a cheap fiddle.
Moore cannot become a senator. He would be adding fore failure to an already dysfunctional party.
Please re-post; thank you.
