It has become acceptable that our nation has more mass murders and injuries from the use of guns than days on the calendar. Three or more people are injured by the use of a firearm more than 365 times a year. When 20 children ages five and six, and six educators were slaughtered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut, gun sales soared. There are several reasons why this occurred, but the two most important are both the responsibility of the NRA.

Although Adam Lanza was mentally incompetent, ignorant Americans linked the assault with terrorism, aided by NRA propaganda. The second was a lie told by Wayne LaPierre and other NRA money grabbers, that the government wants to take away guns from law abiding citizens.

America is the only nation with millions of certified gun nuts. Today, after the slaughters in Las Vegas and a church in Texas, gun sales soared once again. The result has been an increase in accidental deaths not experienced since Sandy Hook.

After Sandy Hook the spike in gun sales resulted in the accidental deaths of 20 children, and the demise of 40 adults. 

Owning a weapon of mass destruction places a great amount of responsibility on the individual. Most of these hysterical individuals ignore this fact.

The NRA is a criminal organization disguised as a gun lobby. It has only one concern; increasing gun sales which will allow gun manufacturers and gun sellers to experience an increase in their profits.

The NRA was once a respected gun safety organization. Today it is a greedy group of criminals who have no concern for the well-being of millions of innocent Americans. They and their employees; the Republican Party; have lied to weak-minded Americans for over 40 years. They are right; guns don’t kill people, but ignorant people do use guns to kill people.

Our nation’s people do not feel safe, and it is not because they fear terrorists from outside our nation. White Americans have killed more men and women inside our shores than all others combined, with the exception of the tragedy on 9/11, which we now know could have been prevented.

Stephen Paddock killed more people in Las Vegas last October than any other shooter in history. 58 died and 500 were wounded. A single gunman with assault rifles and accessories which made them fully automatic, was responsible for every tragic killing and injury. If military weapons were not available to insane individuals most of these victims would have been saved.

Finally, more than 200 children who were able to access guns either killed others or themselves in each of the last five years. Gun safety is less important to gun owners than access to their toys. Their children are less valuable than their alleged second amendment rights.
