Let’s begin with a simple fact; when Trump took the oath of office on January 20, he perjured himself. He promised that he would ‘preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.’ His support of Christians, and his denouncement of all Muslims is a direct violation of the first amendment. Trump made the world a less safe place for all of its people.

When Trump declared that the United States would support Israel’s claim that Jerusalem is the small nation’s capital, he simply ‘stuck his nose in where it doesn’t belong.’ Trump’s ignorance regarding all major religions is enormous. He is not a religious man unless you consider money his god.

Jerusalem, is a holy city for three religions; Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has been conquered, and reconquered over centuries. The city is divided into four quarters; Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Armenians. Armenians are also Christian, and their quarter is dominated by a huge church.

Christians consider the city important to their core beliefs. In the Christian quarter is the ‘Church of the Holy Sepulcher. This is where the resurrection occurred and where the body of Jesus Christ is buried. Close by is the mount on which the crucifixion took place. Less than six miles away is the smaller city of Bethlehem; reported to be the birthplace of the Christ child.

For Jews, a wall remains. The ‘Western Wall’ is what remains of their holiest temple, which contained the “Holy of Holies.”

The Muslim Quarter is the largest of the four and contains the shrine of the Dome of Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque on a plateau known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif, or the Noble Sanctuary.

Trump’s rash and ignorant action to appease his diminishing base, Mike Pence, and casino magnate, Sheldon Adelson, has resulted in rioting on the west bank. Muslim leaders around the world have announced this action by their prime enemy.

Trump is not a leader; he is a wannabee autocrat. He admires men who reject democracy and embrace forms of dictatorship. These men include Putin, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Rodrigo Duterte, the Saudi Royal Prince, Benjamin Netanyahu, and others. Although Netanyahu was democratically elected, his time as Israel’s Prime Minister has been controversial, and often autocratic in tone and action. 

He refuses to negotiate peace with his Palestinian neighbors.

Trump’s own words prove that he does not believe in democracy. His verbal attacks on our first amendment rights, and his refusal to work with the Democratic Party have revealed his true intentions. Trump went into the election believing that the President of the United States is virtually a ‘king.’

Let’s show him who we are. By voting all Republicans out of office on November 6, 2018, Trump will be powerless. His mental state will deteriorate even more, and the 25th amendment will be invoked. This is a ‘win, win situation’ for the American people.
