At least 17 women accused Trump of sexual assault and five more have not yet come forward to release their names and stories. Why is it that Trump viciously attacked Al Franken, but defends Roy Moore, and is in denial about his own acts of sexual misconduct? Franken admitted his mistakes; Trump claims that he has never done anything wrong in his entire life.
Actually, I am mistaken; Trump admitted acts of sexual assault on the ‘Access Hollywood,’ and ‘The Apprentice’ tapes. He claimed that he has the right to do anything he chooses with women’s bodies; he is above the law.
Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, suggested that Trump should face his accusers yesterday. Now two Senators have come forward to demand that Trump resign based upon multiple allegations from multiple women.
Cory Booker and Jeff Merkley have stepped forward, insisting that Trump’s crimes not be allowed to simply disappear.
“I just watched Sen. Al Franken do the honorable thing and resign from his office. My question is, why isn’t Donald Trump doing the same thing — who has more serious allegations against him, with more women who have come forward. The fact pattern on him is far more damning than the fact pattern on Al Franken,” said Booker.
Merkley followed with his own statement.
“I want to be absolutely clear. Donald Trump should resign the presidency.
“At least 17 women have accused Donald Trump of horrific sexual misconduct, and I believe them. Moreover, he’s bragged on tape about that behavior. This is not about politics. This is not about policy. I disagree with him on many things, but this is not about that,” he said in the email.
Trump continues to prove that he has no morals; no principles. He is unfit to be our nation’s president. America once had enormous respect based or our morals and our support of human rights and individual freedom. Under Trump these qualities have disappeared.
Although Senator Bernie Sanders did not call for Trump’s resignation, he indicated that it was a consideration.
“What I just said is Al Franken felt it proper for him to resign. Here you have a president who has been accused by many women of assault who says on a tape that he assaulted women, he might want to think about doing the same,” Sanders said on NBC’s Meet the Press.
On November 8, 2016, millions of Americans, who chose to be ignorant, allowed our country to to be damaged by the worst illegitimate president in history; and much of that damage is irreversible.
Please re-post; thank you.
