Many Questions about Trump’s destructive Tax Plan: Do Republicans have the Votes?

827e2-hypocrites

The truth is that if the American people have their way, the Republican tax plan will follow the path of Trumpcare and fail. It is another gift to the super rich and to large corporations, and would greatly harm the majority of the American people.

Without a single major accomplishment in nearly 11 months of Trump’s illegitimate presidency, Trump and his fascist party are desperate to have a legitimate celebration of a victory.

The truth is that it would be a victory for only one-percent of the American people. The middle class would experience a tax increase. The number of Americans living below the poverty level would rise. At least 13 million low-income Americans would lose their healthcare. CHIP would not be renewed; affecting nine million low-income children. The deficit would grow by 1.5 trillion dollars. Trump and 584 other billionaires, and 10.7 million, millionaires would have their tax burden reduced.

With only 51 Republican Senators, traitor Mitch McConnell can only afford to lose one more vote if this harmful bill is to pass. Bob Corker of Tennessee has already declined to support the plan. Mike Pence would be the tie breaker. Today Marco Rubio has challenged McConnell and his failed party to change a single provision in the bill, or he will refuse to support it.

“I’ve been pretty consistent in my communications on this issue and that is I want us to see the refundable portion of the child tax credit increased from its current number,” Rubio told reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday. “If it stays at $1,100, I’m a ‘no.’ Let’s hope it doesn’t.”

What we don’t hear from a single Republican is the truth. The entire bill will harm the majority of the American people. Although the polls reveal that the majority of Americans do not approve of its passage, McConnell, Paul Ryan, and the rest of a ‘Republican Party in name only’ have covered their ears and are not listening.

This is the worst government in Washington I have seen in my 50 years as an eligible voter. We have one party running everything, and they have proven that they are incapable of governing our nation effectively. With no Democratic participation, and bills being written in secrecy, the dysfunctional Republican leadership is failing badly.

We, the people, can change that. Vote the useless Republican Party out of office in November of 2018. It’s our country, not theirs.

Please re-post; thank you.
