The latest estimate when Puerto Rico will have 100 percent of its electrical power restored is May, 2018. Why? If this was a state which gave Trump its Electoral votes,Texas or Florida, it would have been repaired months ago. Or is it the fact that Puerto Rico is an island of mostly Hispanic men, women, and children?

I find this especially interesting that Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, restored power to a children’s hospital on the island in two weeks by constructing a large array of solar panels.

Republicans have a single priority, and it’s not 3.4 million Americans whose lives have been totally disrupted by Hurricane Maria. They are eager to give tax breaks to white millionaires and billionaires. Millions of Hispanics must simply wait for their turn, and they are at the bottom of the list.

Medical professionals and others on the island report that FEMA is overwhelmed, and working slowly. The money allocated to repair damage on the island is woefully insufficient. For GOP politicians that’s acceptable; the wealthiest Americans need more money. They are desperate to by another $40 million home, or several more cases of wine; each bottle costing $1,200 or more. It’s not important that thousands of Puerto Ricans continue to lack access to fresh water daily.

This is the most racist action to date from our white government. Republicans have always been the party of racism, and now they have a white supremacist living in the whitest house in the land. Puerto Rico is not Mar-a-Lago. It is inhabited by many poor Americans, is in desperate need of aid from our Republican controlled government.

Not only is not displaying a sense of urgency to restore normal life to the people of Puerto Rico a crime against humanity, it is an unforgivable statement which says ‘they are not a priority.’

One more fact to be noted; although Puerto Ricans are American citizens, they cannot vote in our elections. Elections and supporting their wealthy owners are the only priorities which exist for Republicans.

Inside the White House the sentiment appears to be that “Trump’s base has dubbed them foreigners — and essentially said ‘good — let them die.’”

It is time for the mainstream media and all Americans to admit that Trump is a white supremacist, and has surrounded himself with like-minded men and women. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the history of Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, Betsy DeVos, and John Kelly.
