Unless congress passes Trump’s harmful tax package, this administration will have accomplished absolutely nothing in 11 months. What Trump has done is to destroy many of the accomplishments of President Obama, and make life more difficult for the working class.

Recent polls portray a picture of a failed man who never should have been elected.

Three out of ten Americans believe that Trump and his circle of sinners are taking our nation on the wrong course. 52 percent of all Americans believe that our nation is in worse shape now than it was just ten months and 29 days ago. Trump’s supporters, 23 percent of the American people who choose ignorance, say that ‘Trump has kept his promises.’ 30 percent believe he tried but failed. 45 percent claim that he has not kept or tried to keep any of them. Trump’s approval rating remains at 32 percent, the lowest for a first year president in recorded history.

Trump tweeted yesterday that the 2018 midterm election will turn out well for Republicans. I don’t know what drugs Trump consumes, but LSD must be involved. He lives in a different world than I live in.

The Republican Senate presently has the slimmest lead possible with just 51. Democrats have 47, and there are two Independents who generally vote with Democrats. Doug Jones has yet to be sworn in for the Democrats. Only eight Republican senators are up for reelection in 2018. Two losses, and Democrats regain control, and Mitch McConnell can go back to hiding under his shell.

The most vulnerable race will be here in my state of Nevada. Dean Heller has voted with Trump on every issue, although Nevada is the poorest state in the west. Heller helped to write the “tax reform” bill, which if passed will harm every American with the exception of Trump, 584 other billionaires, Heller, and 10.7 million, other millionaires. 13 million low-income Americans will lose their healthcare, and that includes thousands in our state. Programs which assist low-income and impoverished Americans will see a reduction in their funds. Lowering the maximum tax rate for corporations, and giving additional tax cuts to the wealthy will reduce our nation’s revenue.

What do you want to happen on November 6, 2018? Will you choose to join the voters of Virginia and Alabama who took their states back from right wing extremists, or allow Donny Boy and his failed administration to continue their destructive ways?
