President Obama was proud of his efforts to serve the American people, and he had a right to be so. He was also concerned about issues which were important to all of our nation’s people. Mr. Obama created a website to allow all Americans to voice their opinions called “We the People.” This petition site is responsible for the opposition movement directed at ‘conversion therapy,’ and other misguided or immoral actions.
Your illegitimate president, Donald J. Trump, recently shut down the website. Trump’s spokesperson claimed that it was a ‘cost cutting measure’ which would save $1.3 million each year. It will be reopened at the end of January with a different format.
First of all the idea of saving $1.3 million to prevent the people from expressing their needs and wishes is fascism. Secondly, if Trump is concerned about saving taxpayers money, he could stop golfing and holding rallies. In eleven months Trump has wasted nearly $90 million traveling to and from his golf resorts and holding rallies.
The truth about why the site was shut down is to protect Trump’s extremely fragile ego. He has been criticized without mercy for his immoral actions. The most popular petition has been a demand that Trump reveal his tax returns. All Americans are positive that their exposure would force him to resign. I’m positive that he is also weary that millions of Americans have attacked his removal of environmental regulations; his harmful effort to repeal Obamacare and replace it with the destructive bill called ‘Trumpcare; and his tax plan which is nothing more than a gift of billions of dollars to large corporations and the super rich. Recently a provision was added to offer additional tax cuts to real estate developers, like Donald Trump, in an effort to receive a ‘yes’ vote from Senator Bob Corker. The words are bribery, corruption, and graft.
Trump doesn’t ‘give a damn’ about what the American people think. His opinions are his only consideration. However, he does react to negative opinions; his ego will not allow him to ignore them. His small thumbs are calloused from tweeting responses to his critics.
‘We the People’ was surely filled with criticism about Trump’s policies as well as personal attacks. Shutting it down was to protect Trump’s phone from overuse.
Please re-post; thank you.
