Presidential advisers are the responsibility of the president himself. Although he receives suggestions from others on his staff, the decision is ultimately his. This is the truth and is indicative, and one of the factors which allows the claim that Trump is the worst president in American history.
In less than one year Trump has fired or accepted the resignations of 17 significant members of his staff. This is a factor in assertions that Trump is a very poor and rash decision maker.
A question I ask is ‘were many of these members of his advisory staff simply place fillers, or were they not properly vetted?’ Trump has frequently told us that he ‘knows everything,’ ‘has a very good brain,’ and ‘knows more about ISIS than his generals.’ It is rare when Trump takes advice from another individual; whoever that individual might be.
During the last 11+ months it is obvious that the purpose of Trump’s advisers and his hypocritical party is to soothe the fragile ego of their mentally incompetent leader. Nothing could be more indicative than the effusive and unwarranted praise offered to Trump after his destructive tax plan was passed on a partisan basis.
Here is a short list of only high level staff who are no longer members of Trump’s administration.
On January 30, Acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, was fired. Her crimes? Warning the president about Michael Flynn, and refusing to support Trump’s unconstitutional Muslim travel ban.
On February 13, National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was fired. The reason given at the time was that ‘he lied to Mike Pence.’ Just recently he plead guilty to lying to the FBI about his association with Russia and other foreign nations.
Boris Epshteyn was the assistant White House communications director. Trump was angry at Epshteyn for not securing a sufficient number of television spots for Republicans to protect his lies and advance his agenda. By late March he was dismissed.
In early April, K.T. McFarland, who was assistant national security adviser to Michael Flynn, was fired. After H.R. McMaster replaced Flynn, questions arose regarding her knowledge of Flynn’s relationship with foreign nations.
On May 5, Angella Reid was removed from her post as Chief White House Usher. She is a black woman and the first woman to hold that position since 2011. No reason was given for her dismissal. She was replaced by a former employee of the Trump International Hotel in Washington.
On May 9, FBI Director, James Comey, was fired. Comey refused to end the investigation into Michael Flynn, and a subsequent inquiry into the Trump staff’s connection to Russia during the campaign.
Mike Dubke resigned as White House communications director in late May. His complaint; he had nothing to do.
Sean Spicer, White House Press Secretary, resigned on July 21st. The reason “Spicey” left was because Trump hired Anthony Scaramucci as White House Communications Director. However, I believe it is because Spicer was not a good enough paid liar.
On July 27 Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was fired. He was blamed for ‘White House leaks,’ but the truth was based on his constant disconnect with Steve Bannon, and recent hiring of Anthony Scaramucci.
Scaramucci was summarily fired on July 31, making his position in the White House the shortest in history. He held his job for less than one week, breaking Flynn’s record of less than one month. Obscene attacks on other White House staff forced new Chief of Staff, John Kelly, to remove him from his position.
On August 21, Trump’s closest adviser, Steve Bannon, was shown the door. He is credited with Trump’s isolationist plan of ‘America First,’ and his debunked conspiracy theory of a ‘deep state.’ His firing was entirely the decision of John Kelly.
In late August former Nazi Party member, Sebastian Gorka, was fired. Kelly considered him ‘too far to the right.’ It remains unclear what purpose Gorka served in the administration.
Keith Schiller was a long-time security chief for Trump. After his access to the illegitimate president became limited by Kelly, he resigned in frustration. (Another example of Trump’s belief in ‘one-way’ loyalty).
September 29th saw the forced exodus of one of Trump’s cabinet members, Tom Price; the former Secretary of Health and Human Services. The reason; unauthorized and waste of more than $400,000 of taxpayer money with the use of private and military aircraft for his travels. (It must be noted here that others in Trump’s cabinet have committed similar crimes, but they remain in office).
Finally, Omarosa Manigault. What her function was in the White House will forever remain a mystery. The former “Apprentice” contestant, who was fired by Trump appeared to be his token black person. Her firing was reported as a ‘tumultuous event.’ White House aides claim that she was ‘forcibly removed.’
It is evident that seeking employment on the White House staff is a gamble. Employment is not based on qualifications, rather then unquestioned loyalty to Trump, and the willingness to lie and protect their fuhrer.
Can you say “hypocrite?”
Please re-post; thank you.
