Michael S. Schmidt; remember that name. He works for the New York Times. Although the Times is known as one of America’s finest newspapers and sources of accurate information, like all major companies, it has its “bad apples.”

The Daily Kos has exposed Schmidt’s failed reporting of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Schmidt was recently granted an interview with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. It had not been scheduled and according to reliable sources none of Trump’s entourage was aware that it would happen. In the interview Schmidt appeared to fawn all over Trump as he asked several questions which allowed the illegitimate president to slant the Russia investigation in his favor. Without a follow-up question, Schmidt allowed Trump to  vaguely make the claim that he would not fire Special Investigator, Robert Mueller; he left the door ‘wide open.’

In 2016, Schmidt was one of the members of the mainstream media who supported Trump by focusing unending attention on Hillary Clinton’s e-mails, holding her to an extremely high standard, while giving Trump a free pass as he exposed himself as a racist and an ignorant man unqualified to hold public office at any level.

The “experts” offered many reasons why Hillary won the election but lost the Electoral College; none of them were true. Most blamed her and her campaign. The truth is very complicated and involved multiple entities.

Let’s begin with what I just stated; the media, especially television broadcasts, refused to tell the truth about Hillary Clinton and inform the voting public about her long history of serving the American people and the fact that she was the most qualified presidential candidate in American history. 

Meanwhile, they offered Trump five-times more coverage than all other candidates; Democratic or Republican, combined.

The second reason was a focus by Fox Noise, other biased publications and online blogs to focus on the fact that she was a woman, and therefore unqualified to be the leader of the free world. Sexism was another weapon used by the right wing in an attempt to discredit the best candidate running for president in 2016.

Just eleven days before the election, FBI Director James Comey announced further investigation into Hillary’s use of a private e-mail server. This played into Schmidt’s hands and he revamped his controversy adding to Trump’s unsubstantiated claims and baseless attacks.

Finally the confirmed interference by Vladimir Putin and at least 19 of his agents to damage Hillary and aid Trump. Hacking into Democratic servers; the use of multiple social media venues; and the spread of lies and innuendos throughout American media outlets are the reasons millions of Americans stayed home and did not cast their votes for either candidate. Remember, just 77,000 total votes in three states gave Trump the Electoral College.

There were other smaller factors, but these were the primary reasons why Trump is defiling the White House, and Hillary is making appearances at book signings and on television.

Any journalist who fails to offer facts and the truth to the American people is a traitor to both his or her profession and to the people of the United States of America. This is the only way Fox continues to exist; through lies and misdirection. When the New York Times allows such a vile man as Schmidt to publish lies, it has soiled its reputation for eternity.

Trump is right; the Times is fake-news. But with every other situation recorded, they are all slanted towards Trump and biased against the truth and the men and women who place their nation above all else.
