2017 was a dismal year for the American people. Although the day after Trump’s sad little inauguration offered hope for our nation’s future thanks the the Women’s March on Washington and similar demonstrations around the nation and the world, destructive actions and words by Trump quickly resulted in despair.
The end of the worst year in America’s history began to offer hope again. Elections in Virginia and Alabama demonstrated the anger and disrespect of the American people for Trump and his party. Once again it was women who turned out in record numbers to defeat the enemy; GOP politicians.
2018 will begin where 2017 left off. Trump will be in Mar-a-Lago for the first part of the day, and Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump’s relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin will continue. Protests against Republicans and their vile and destructive tax plan will continue. Women across the nation will be organizing efforts to defeat all Republicans in the November election. I predict that the effort to investigate the charges of 17 women against Trump for sexual assault will gain momentum. I also predict that more aggressive members of the Democratic Party will take control and move it back towards the left and its liberal roots. The majority of the American people will have a strong voice in Washington once again. Minorities will be served by more than the use of rhetoric. For the first time in history Democrats will unite and get out the vote for a midterm election. A large turnout means a Democratic victory.
If Trump remains in office on November 7th, he will awaken knowing that he is powerless. Democrats will have retaken control of both the House and the Senate. Congress is the most powerful branch of our government, and Trump will finally learn something about our nation’s laws and power structure.
The American people have renounced the Republican Party in every poll. They are making a statement that if Republicans continue to ignore the needs and wishes of the majority of the American people they will lose their reelection efforts.
Democrats need to win an additional 25 seats in the House, and just two of the eight up for reelection in the Senate.
After a Republican loss in Alabama, the Senate is now divided 51-49. In my state of Nevada Dean Heller is extremely vulnerable. I, and tens of thousands loyal Nevadans will do everything in our power to defeat a man who has proven himself a Trump lackey, and a traitor to the people of his state.
Join the revolution. Become active yourself, and encourage others to get the vote out and take back America from its enemy.
Please re-post; thank you.
