Here’s where the government of the United States is on January 6^th, 2017. It’s in the ‘dumper.’ It is dysfunctional and more fascist than democratic. Choosing to remain partisan, Republicans are not only protecting their party and their illegitimate criminal-in-chief, they are championing their wealth supporters at the expense of the American people.

While Republicans are planning to investigate Hillary’s private e-mail account and the Clinton Foundation, they are covering-up the fact that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have used private e-mails while working in the West Wing. Trump stole money from his foundation on a regular basis and violated laws constructed to protect charities, and charitable deductions. No investigation is forthcoming.

Failures Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley want the creator of the Golden Showers Dossier, Christopher Steele investigated for lying. But they are ignoring the fact that Kushner lied on his SF86 form, claiming that he had no contact with foreign agents. The facts prove that he had a relationship with four high-level agents and attempted to create a ‘back channel’ between Trump and Putin in the Seychelles Islands. If he was a Democrat, he would have had his security clearance revoked after one meeting was exposed. (Get the picture)?

Lyin Paul Ryan is siding with traitor Devin Nunes and undermining the House investigation into Trump’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. More cover-up by a man who once had at least a small amount of credibility.

Early in Trump’s illegitimate presidency Republicans rushed and failed to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a destructive and murderous bill which became known as ‘Trumpcare.’ These same hypocritical Republicans denounced the Affordable Care Act claiming that it was rushed and composed in a partisan manner. The truth is that it took about one year, and input from Republicans was encouraged.

Trump’s “tax reform” plan was another hasty effort to pass at least one piece of significant legislation during the first year of Trump’s illegitimate presidency. It is nothing less than a gift to Trump and other wealthy Americans, and a foolish tax reduction for large corporations. In a few years the middle class will pay for the tax reductions gifted to the super wealthy; 13 million Americans will lose their healthcare; programs necessary for low-income and impoverished Americans; (nearly one-half of all of our nation’s people); will be reduced. The Pentagon will be given even more money to waste, and in 10 years the deficit will rise by $1.5 trillion.

Trump is taking credit for the economy, when in fact all praise must be offered to President Obama whose plans and policies are continuing to aid the recovery of our nation from a near depression.

Republicans are ignoring the fact that Trump’s approval rating of 32 percent is the lowest for a first year president in history. They are complacent and believe that they will dominate the midterms. If Independents and Democrats fail to go to the polls in large numbers on November 6^th, Republicans will hold onto control of the House and Senate. We cannot let that happen.
