The Most Important Fact About Trump’s “Great Economy”

ignorance-breed-ignorance

There are approximately 320 million Americans. Less than 10 percent of our nation’s people control 90 percent of the wealth. Added together, low income and impoverished Americans compose nearly 50 percent of all our country’s citizens.

Trump constantly brags about our nation’s economy; and economy which is mostly the result of policies created by President Obama’s administration.

The most important fact is that since the great recession of 2008; the result of failed Republican economic policies, income for the vast majority of Americans has remained virtually stagnant, and has not witnessed an increase. Income inequality is a growing problem, not expected to be addressed by a Republican president and a Republican controlled congress.

Only 12.3 percent of American households are considered middle class, with an income over $75,000 per year. Upper middle class Americans make over $100,000 per year, and compose 14.1 percent of our nation’s people. Less than 27 percent of all Americans are actually ‘middle class.’ Low-income Americans receive less than $39,000 dollars per year, and the poverty level is considered income below $24,999 per year for a family.

The last statistics available in 2013 revealed that the average income of 320 million Americans was $51,939 per year for a family of four. This includes the one-percent which is composed of 585 billionaires, and 10.7 million, millionaires.

These men and women compose less than five percent of our nation’s people, or approximately 16 million Americans. As of today, more than 49 million Americans are living in poverty, and that number is growing.

Okay, let’s forget all of the statistics for just a moment. The truth is that under Trump’s fascist rule, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Every act by Trump and his Republican hypocrites is focused on increasing the wealth of five percent of the American people, which includes Trump and the members of congress. Our elected officials are members of those 10.7 million, millionaires.

If one family is forced to live in poverty, this is a crime of unforgivable proportions. Our nation has only four percent of the world’s population, and 25 percent of the world’s wealth. The nation closest to America in the number of billionaires is China with 260. China has 20 percent of the world’s population.

We should be ashamed of our government and our wealthiest Americans. This is one of the primary reasons why America will never be a great country.

Please pass this on to others who have the right to know the truth; thank you.
