Can Republicans Hold Onto the House? Will Lyin Paul Ryan be Demoted?

Today Darrell Issa announced his retirement from the House of Representatives. Issa is a Republican from the very blue state of California, and the wealthiest man in Congress. He joins 23 other Republicans who have announced that they will not seek reelection for their seats in the House this coming November. Democrats need 26 seats to regain control of the House and replace Paul Ryan as the Speaker.

With Trump’s extremely low approval rating of 32 percent, the midterm elections had become worrisome. With 24 Republican members of the House leaving Trump’s party, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are frightened beyond belief. Although only eight Republican Senators are up for reelection on November 6th, Bob Corker and Jeff Flake have chosen not to seek reelection. Today Republicans have 51 seats in the senate; Democrats 49, including two Independents who generally join with Democrats on the issues.

In my state of Nevada, Republican Senator Dean Heller is very vulnerable. In the 2016 election the most populated part of Nevada turned blue in 2016. Our electoral votes went to Hillary Clinton, we elected the first Democratic, female Hispanic to the Senate, and issues such as gun control and the legalization of marijuana passed easily.

Heller has stood by Trump’s side by supporting every issue dedicated to harming the working class. He wrote part of the Republican tax reform bill, although it will cause great harm to the people of Nevada; the poorest state in the west.

At present, Heller is losing to Danny Tarkanian in the Republican primary. In a poll between Heller and Democrat Jacky Rosen, the polls are dead even.

Heller was once a popular political figure in Nevada, but with the election of Donald J. Trump, and Heller’s ‘worship of his fuhrer,’ his reelection effort is tenuous at best. I will do everything possible to allow him to retire.

Please share the truth; thank you.
