Yesterday Trump held a televised “bipartisan” meeting to discuss immigration. It was a show, and there was no substance. Trump is the world’s most famous con artist and nothing more. He conned millions of voters to win the Electoral College on November 8, 2016. He has continued to con those same supporters for nearly one year. Yesterday he played a desperate media for fools and they succumbed to his childish game.

Tuesday Trump held a meeting to discuss DACA; the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The one person who was not invited was Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham, leader of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Congresswoman Grisham was not going to be left out of such an important meeting which affects the people she represents; 800,000 of which are DACA applicants.

The commonality all racists, and in this case white supremacists share, is a need to disguise their true selves. This is Donald Trump in 2018. He will never support reform which aids non-Caucasians. Today, under orders from Jeff Sessions, and supported by Donald Trump, ICE agents are entering “7-Eleven” stores across the nation looking for undocumented workers. Puerto Rico remains in shambles, and there are no accurate reports about the Virgin Islands.

Grisham ‘crashed’ the 11:30 meeting. There is little doubt that the ‘snub’ was intentional. The CHC has opposed any agreement which excludes the ‘Dream Act.’

“For me, the most important thing to reiterate to the president and the White House was that we don’t have time on our side,” Lujan Grisham later told the Albuquerque Journal. “We don’t have until March. We need to do this right now.”

Ms. Grisham is aware of Trump’s true intentions as revealed by this final quote.

“I was obligated to attend today’s White House meeting so that my constituents and the millions of people that the Congressional Hispanic Caucus represents had a seat at the table as we work to enact a permanent legislative fix for Dreamers by January 19th. I am encouraged that the President assured me and the bipartisan, bicameral group of lawmakers in attendance that he was also committed to that goal. This is a crisis with lives on the line. Each day Congress delays productive, meaningful negotiations, 122 Dreamers on average lose their DACA protection and live under the very real fear of detention and deportation. I am committed to working in good faith with my colleagues on both of sides of the aisle to resolve this and many other critical issues that Congress has kicked down the road for too long.”

Your ‘con man’/illegitimate president and his racist party is lying to the American people and the Hispanic community once again. They will continue to give millions and billions of dollars to their wealthy supporters as they did with their tax reform, but ignore millions of Americans and millions of undocumented workers whose efforts are patriotic and represent real American values.

If you trust Trump and his circle of sinners, you have been conned. Sorry; the truth hurts.
