If the America of our founding fathers is to survive, we cannot rely on the efforts of old, white men. The new leaders of our nation are women in the private sector, but they must continue those efforts and maintain the energy which will defeat the evil of the right wing, and take our country back for the majority of Americans by deciding to move into public service.

I believe that my own sex is incapable of having the courage to be honest and aggressive in a manner which will take our nation back for the majority. A part of this claim is that millions of men continue to believe that women are inferior to men and are unfit to lead our nation. These men obviously failed their IQ tests.

If we simply and honestly evaluate the campaigns during the 2016 election, it is obvious that Trump’s campaign was based on personal attacks, fear tactics, and false promises. Hillary Clinton attempted to address the issues facing America but a now non-existent fourth estate offered Trump five times more coverage than all other candidates combined; Republican or Democratic.

Take a moment to think about that fact. Statisticians have proven that most Americans choose to be uninformed and vote based on the lies they see and hear on television, the most destructive force for truth in America.

If women join together as they did on January 21, 2017, and no longer allow men to decide their importance in our nation, the United States of America has an opportunity to save itself. Women can remove the power of the old, white men who have made our government dysfunctional and bigoted. For more than 100 years women have been expected to be subservient to men. 2018 will be the year when real change will happen in America. Women outnumber men. They control the majority of our nation’s wealth. For the first time in history more women than men are enrolled in our universities and colleges. They have been denied equality by old, Republican, white men for decades, and will now take control of our nation by action and political force.

I am proud to be a ‘feminist.’ Our nation, more than any other country in the free world, has denied the value and importance of women. Throughout my 71 years, I have had more close friends who were women than men. The reasons are simple; they have far more diverse interests than men, and their compassion for others surpasses their male counterparts in levels which are incomparable.

In the last two days there has been extensive conversation about an Oprah Winfrey presidency. I have no doubt that she would easily defeat any opponent, but I doubt that she would lower herself to that ambition. She has a life which cannot be compared to any individual in the free world. The presidency is in fact a position of ‘caretaker.’ He or she must preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. That is an enormous responsibility, and to fulfill that responsibility, that person must divest their personal lifestyle. Trump has refused to face this fact.

However, there are many women who have governmental experience who could become great presidents and rid our nation of the destruction of old, white men. My personal favorite is Kirsten Gillibrand who has proven herself a champion of the majority of the American people.

My greatest hope is that a woman president will save our nation in 2020. Trump has confirmed all of my fears and the evil offered by our nation’s male predecessors.
