How would you define ‘good government?’ In a Utopian world, governments would place the quality of life of its citizens as their number one priority. The truth is that all governments are bad because the individuals who control nations have personal ambitions which all too often supersede the needs and wishes of the majority. According to evaluations by experts, the greatest nations in the world are Scandinavian countries where their taxes are returned to the nation’s people. They have free healthcare, free education, family leave, and guaranteed vacations among other less significant benefits.
The United States of America is rated between 14th and 20th in the quality of life for its people.
For much of my life I admit that I have lived under an illusion that my government cared about me and tens of millions of other patriotic and passionate Americans. Today, at age 71, I am facing the truth. My government has no interest in my needs or desires, or those of most Americans. The United States of America has become a nation which places profit before people. The wealthy have complete control of one of our nation’s two political parties. GOP politicians do not have the interests of the majority as their priority; they do not serve; they have placed their personal ambitions ahead of the American people. Money is their god.
The essence of America is in jeopardy. Our founding fathers created the United States of America based on individual freedom, and a nation which would bond when its principles were threatened. Under Trump’s administration and a hypocritical party which bows to his every demand, 320 million Americans are in danger of being disenfranchised. We are no longer being served, we are expected to serve our government. An effort to destroy democracy and institute fascism as our nation’s government is obvious. White supremacy is the only goal of Trump and his circle of sinners.
Trump’s singular accomplishment in his first year as our nation’s illegitimate president is his ‘tax reform’ bill. Less than two weeks after it was passed in partisan fashion, the first evils of its fallacious premise has begun. AT&T, and Walmart have begun layoffs to ensure that their profits would increase due to tax cuts passed by Republicans; not a single Democrat voted in favor of this destructive law.
Trump’s nationalist movement is a farce. The true meaning of his campaign slogan was “make America white again.”
Please spread the truth to everyone you know; we deserve it.
