Trump and his Party of Hypocrites Begin to Panic Over 2018, and 2020

Trump and Pence

Sensationalism sells advertising. For America’s failing fourth estate, money has become their number one priority. Our nation’s people and the future of our country are secondary in their concerns. The talk all week has been about Oprah Winfrey’s speech at the Golden Globe Awards, and whether or not she might run for president in 2020. I sincerely hope not, although I have no doubt she would excite the American people and a record turnout sweeping her into office would be no surprise. I have great respect for Oprah, but Trump has proven that we need a president who has experience with both domestic and international issues.

That said, I do believe that Democrats must nominate a woman. Our nation has been harmed by old, white men for far too long. The fact is that women outnumber men; they control America’s wealth; and they dominate the student bodies of our colleges and universities. It’s past time that we had a leader who was less concerned about the size of his penis.

As Trump continues to harm America and its reputation, his approval rating is dropping. Now, in the low 30’s it seems impossible that it could fall much lower. Not a single Republican can count on Trump’s support to help him or her win reelection in November, and the possibility of Trump coming in even a ‘close second’ in 2020 is pure fantasy.

Trump and his failing party are entering panic mode. With all 435 seats in the House up for reelection in November, and eight seats in the senate, it is a very real possibility that on November 7th Democrats will regain control of both houses of congress. So what is Trump doing about it? He will waste more taxpayer money holding a rally in Pennsylvania to support Republican candidates in a special election this week. If he is as successful as he and Pence were in Virginia and Alabama, he will have failed once again; the word is “loser.”

Here is an interesting fact. Trump was gifted the Electoral College by a total vote of 77,000 in three states; Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. His win in Pennsylvania was 48.2 percent to Hillary’s 47.5 percent. If just a couple of million more voters had gone to the polls in those three states, Hillary would be in the White House today.

This is the most significant fact for the November midterm. No Republican has won the popular vote since George H.W. Bush in 1988. Although it’s true the George W. Bush barely won the popular vote in 2004, he would not have had the opportunity if Al Gore would have won the Electoral College as well as the popular vote in 2000.

A large voter turnout guarantees a Democratic victory.

Please, please vote in November, and encourage others to do so as well; thank you.
