A recent poll claims that 61 percent of Republican voters are pleased with the direction in which Trump is taking our country, compared to seven percent of Democrats. I don’t know what drugs Republicans are taking; I just know that they’re not sharing.

The poll claims that passing Trump’s tax plan is the reason for the increase in confidence, although it was passed on a purely partisan level, and Republican lawmakers lied about the entire bill. An important fact; this poll was taken on the telephone, which indicates that those who took part in the survey were predominately seniors. Very few younger Americans continue to have land lines in their homes.

Most importantly, why have Republican voters chosen to accept Trump’s constant lies? Can they be that ignorant? Trump is the worst thing to ever happen to the United States of America. He and his cowardly party have changed our nation in many ways; none of them can be called ‘positive,’ and many of them are irreparable. America was once the most respected nation in the world, but is now the butt of jokes from every nation on the planet. Trump has isolated America from its former allies, and divided our nation to a far greater degree than at any time since the Civil War.

It seems impossible, but with every passing week Trump discovers new ways to harm our nation’s people, and further damage our country’s image.

Why are Republican voters willing to accept politicians who are immoral, racist, bigoted, and worship money? They have failed to serve our nation’s people for more than 20 years.
