Retiring Arizona Senator, Jeff Flake, leveled a ’20 pronged attack’ against Trump’s personal problems with the legitimate press. Trump claims that the only factual news services are Fox Noise and Breitbart.

Flake blasted his illegitimate president by stating: “For without truth, and a principled fidelity to truth and to shared facts, Mr. President, our democracy will not last.”

Every effort by Trump and his circle of sinners has offered additional proof that he seeks the destruction of democracy. His deep admiration for autocrats such as Vladimir Putin, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Rodrigo Duterte, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and others should frighten every patriot.

Speaking about Trump’s failure to create a successful relationship with the press in 2017, Flake said: “It was the year in which an unrelenting daily assault on the constitutionally-protected free press was launched by that same White House, an assault that is as unprecedented as it is unwarranted.”

With Trump creating the term ‘fake news,’ he began multiple attacks on the first amendment; the one section of the Constitution our founding fathers considered as sacrosanct.

Flake subtly described Trump’s efforts to replace our democracy with fascism: “The president has it precisely backward — despotism is the enemy of the people. The free press is the despot’s enemy, which makes the free press the guardian of democracy.”
