Israel was recognized as a state in 1948. Since that time America has supported the small state, while ignoring the plight of the Palestinian people for a single reason; they are Muslims.

Let’s cease all of the rhetoric and tell the entire truth; our nation has a severe case of Islamophobia, and an ignorant view of Christianity. No religion is perfect because they are all based on fairy tales. However, the Constitution guarantees the right of all Americans to practice the religion of their choice; this means ALL religions. We are not allowed to be selective.

When Trump announced that he would recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, he created a ‘shit storm.’ He actually had the nerve to claim that his decision would ‘help create peace in the Middle East.’ Is he that ignorant? Since that day riots have become a near daily event.

Today the Trump administration announced that they would be cutting aid to the Palestinian people. This will increase the hardship faced by the men, women, and children who share land with Israel. Only some U.S. citizens and Benjamin Netanyahu recognize this as a good idea.

Trump has managed to accomplish something no other American leader has in history. He has alienated the United Nations, and further isolated America from the rest of the world. In less than one year he has moved our country from a position as the most respected nation in the world to the least respected.

No one can blame the world for hating Donald Trump. No clear-thinking and intelligent man or woman can tolerate extreme racism, bigotry, xenophobia, misogyny, and total denial of the rights of all living entities.

Most of the world has agreed that Palestine should be acknowledged as a state; with the exception of the United States and Israel. Anger, hatred, prejudice, and a refusal to openly negotiate with those we fail to understand or agree with 100 percent are impassable obstacles to peace.

The United States no longer has an effective State Department, Department of Education, Defense Department, Department of the Interior, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Housing and Urban Development, or an Environmental Agency. Trump has failed the American people and the future of our nation by refusing to make qualified choices for his closest advisers.

Donny Boy, the word is “loser.”
