Americans who voted for Trump were not using their intellect, they voted based on emotions; emotions make us weak. Trump was not only unqualified to be the president, he had absolutely no knowledge about how government works, nor knowledge about how to govern. The government was shutdown early Saturday morning, and negotiations are continuing in the House and Senate, without any leadership from Donald J. Trump. He is likely watching golf on television, eating cheeseburgers, and washing them down with diet Coke.
Like he does with everything else, he tweets. He is unable to carry on a coherent and intelligent conversation. He has no ideas, he has demands. Trump is a bully; this is what he knows.
The only thing he is accomplishing is to confuse the issue and add more difficulty to finding a solution. This cannot be fixed without a bipartisan agreement. Trump has called for introducing the nuclear option, but it cannot happen because the issue is about finances; the very foundation of the Senate would need to be altered. He doesn’t understand that fact.
This was one tweet earlier today.
“Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked.”
Can you say ‘extremely ignorant;’ or is ‘stupid’ more apropos?
Last Tuesday in what can only be called a charade, Trump allowed the cameras into a bipartisan meeting. He expressed his love for DACA recipients, and stated that renewing the program was a priority. Today he is calling them ‘illegal immigrants.’
His suggestion that the Republican controlled Senate change the rules has sparked a conflict between the extremists in the House, who call themselves ‘the Freedom Caucus,’ and the cooler heads in the Senate.
Trump has proven in his first year that he is a divider, not a problem solver. His book, “the Art of the Deal,” is pure fantasy. Trump has revealed himself as a failure when attempting to ‘make deals.’ It is perfectly clear that during his business ‘negotiations,’ he was the spoiled child who demanded instant gratification.
This situation is a perfect summation of Trump’s year in office. It was an abject failure. His only legitimate accomplishment was tax reform; that was a gift to himself and other wealthy Americans, and in the long run will harm everyone else.
Trump’s favorite attack on others now fits him perfectly; he is a ‘loser.’
Please pass this information to others; thank you.
