From 1999 until November 2016, Speaker Paul Ryan had the American people fooled; including me. He appeared to be intelligent, compassionate, and a man with ideas who was concerned about the American people. None of the former is true. We learned this after one of Trump’s biggest detractors became a hypocrite and began bowing to his fuhrer’s every demand.
He is now attempting to take away Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from the American people. He has joined in the battle to deport the “Dreamers.” Ryan has capitulated to the extremists in the House and placed unfair demands on these young Americans.
One stipulation in the House version of Trump’s new immigration law is likely the most inhumane rule I have ever read, and it’s approved by Ryan.
The House bill demands that if a ‘Dreamer’s’ income falls below 125 percent of the poverty line, they will be deported and labeled as criminals. Once again, I can’t make this shit up.
This is not only a despicable idea, it is racist. This once again proves what I have claimed for the last 20+ years; it is the entire GOP who supports white nationalism; Trump is simply their leader. Ryan’s tax reform is guaranteed to force more Americans to fall below the poverty line; the number is now 49.1 million.
I believe that all Americans should reject the Republican Party. They are the enemy. The working class, and especially minorities, the LGBTQ community, women, and Muslims are under attack by GOP politicians.
I have been a proud Independent from the time I turned 21 in 1967. I am also proud that I have voted for Democrats, Republicans, and candidates from third parties; at least until 2000. From the election which featured George W. Bush and Al Gore until today, I have been unable to deny my conscience and intelligence. I vote for Democrats or no one at all. That election had multiple elements which exposed the ‘new’ Republican Party.
Tactics which were used to end John McCain’s campaign, the candidate I supported, were unforgivable. Lies and innuendos led to a nomination for Bush. The results of the election remains controversial, and was the first time when the validity of the Electoral College was questioned.
Today’s Republican leaders, Trump, Mitch McConnell, and Paul Ryan are failures. They do not serve the American people; they rule over us. They are the worst of the ‘new’ United States of America.
Don’t allow them to put an end to the America I love. Use your weapons to defeat their small army. Vote in every election; city, state, and federal. Vet each candidate and cast your ballot for the woman or man who supports your needs and desires, and those of your loved ones.
