Throughout the 2016 campaign Trump screamed that the election was ‘rigged.’ He was right because he knew what illegal actions his family and top campaign officials were taking to help him win. He also knew that Vladimir Putin was attempting to assist him by harming Hillary Clinton’s campaign with false allegations and misleading conspiracy theories. He was also aided by the media who covered him five times more frequently than all other candidates combined. Television news refused to talk about Hillary’s ideas for our nation’s future. They were complicit in the efforts to secure a victory for Donald Trump.
Let’s look at the facts which I believe are more than enough to prove that the Trump campaign is guilty. Let’s begin with the obvious, and possibly the only event which is needed; the meeting with Russians in Trump Tower in June of 2016. The meeting was held by Donald Jr. and attended by six Russians, Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner. We learned that several of the Russians were agents of Vladimir Putin. The reason for the meeting was promised ‘dirt’ about Hillary. Junior claimed that Trump was not present, but it is impossible to believe that his enormous ego prevented him from meeting with the Russians at some point during that day.
Then there were the intentional omissions on Jared Kushner’s SF86 security clearance form. Trump’s son-in-law failed to disclose four meetings with high-level Russian agents during the campaign. One of the meetings was an effort to establish a ‘back channel’ between Trump and Putin in the Seychelles Islands.
Trump’s white supremacist Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, lied about two meetings with Russian Ambassador/Spy Sergei Kislyak.
Others who met with high ranking Russians were Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, and multiple other members of Trump’s team. This is a simple case of “if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.”
The Senate Judiciary Committee has already interviewed Donald Jr., and two of those senators want to turn over the transcript to Robert Mueller. Their purpose is believed to be focused on possible lies he told the committee. They believe that Robert Mueller’s team should be able to compare other testimony to that of Jr’s.
In only a single year the Trump family and his administration have proven themselves to be the most corrupt in history.
I once again encourage the American people to become involved in their own future. First of all, vote and encourage others to follow your example. Secondly, we desperately need more young Americans and more women to run for office. The old, white men now in Washington have harmed America and failed to serve all of our nation’s people for far too many decades. All levels of government are desperate for younger ideas, as well as ideas to care for our people not plan for another war. A candidate only needs to be a citizen and 25 years of age to run for a seat in the House. Think about the possibilities.
