Trump’s FEMA Shares his belief in White Supremacy and Xenophobia

Puerto Rico

FEMA has been overwhelmed in Puerto Rico. Their progress has been minimal and shameful. The major problems remain safe water and electricity. 35 families who became homeless were given temporary housing in Connecticut. In spite of the fact that Connecticut’s governor, Dannel Mallloy, has interceded on their behalf, FEMA has informed them that they must leave; funding has expired.

These are American citizens, and their only sin is that they are Hispanic. The president has control over FEMA, and they are displaying the same lack of compassion as their boss.

FEMA will claim that this was a temporary solution; ant that’s true. However, they are failing to complete their job in a timely fashion. As it has been with everything in the Trump administration, they simply don’t know what they are doing and have no guidance, lacking the urgency shown in Texas and Florida.

I have no doubt that the reason Trump has ignored a growing homeless problem in America, the 800 percent rise in hate crimes, and the situation in Puerto Rico is because the majority of these men, women, and children are minorities, Muslims, or members of the LGBTQ community.

Thanks to millions of ignorant voters our nation is plagued with its first non-American president. He does not represent all Americans, and he lied when he promised to ‘preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.’ Trump should be charged with lying under oath.
