Trump has many faults, but as the pretend-president, his greatest error is rejecting advice from his chosen advisers. Trump’s biggest wounds have been self-inflicted. When Trump fired Reince Priebus as his Chief of Staff, and replaced him with former General John Kelly, the obvious intent was to instill some order in a chaotic White House. What Trump does not like is Kelly’s attempts to curtail his ‘spontaneity.’
Philosophically they are compatible. Kelly is a white supremacist, a xenophobe, and an Islamophobe. However, Trump’s ego will not allow him to accept the control of another.
Yesterday, just before he left for the summit in Davos, this is what Trump said to the White House Press Corps.
“I think by the way he’s doing great. He’s doing great. Fake news yesterday, or two days ago. I rarely put out a tweet, praising somebody, but only when they get a false story.”
If this sounds familiar, it should. Trump has made similar remarks just before he fires someone. Information coming from the White House states that Ivanka Trump is searching for Kelly’s replacement. Others claim that she will be that replacement.
Why would any sane man or woman seek employment in the White House. The top two requirements for a position at any level are unquestioned loyalty to Trump, and a willingness to lie to the American people to protect this illegitimate president.
One of the most important qualities for any individual working in the White House should be integrity. This is a non-existent trait in this White House. Just the opposite is true; an employee must be immoral and without principles.
