Franklin Delano Roosevelt called December 7, 1941 “a day of infamy.” No one will forget where they were on November 22, 1963 when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. When our leaders ignored warnings by our security services and the largest attack on American soil occurred on September 11, 2001, our nation was in tears. The morning of November 9^th, 2016 found real Americans in a state of shock and filled with fear; fear for their country’s future. This was truly the ‘darkest day in American history.’

2335 mostly military personnel were killed at Pearl Harbor; one great leader was killed in Dallas in 1963; 2997 innocent men, women, and children were slaughtered on 9/11; the November 8, 2016 election adversely affected 320 million Americans.

In a single year, one immoral and mentally challenged man has changed our nation, and some of it is irreparable. Trump has escalated the Republican’s war on the working class, minorities, women, the LGBTQ community, Muslims, and others who are not white and wealthy. Our once respected nation is now the world’s joke. Our illegitimate president is no longer the leader of the free world. Trump has chosen dictators and tyrants as his closest associates. The man in the Oval Office colluded with Russia to win the election. He has been accused of sexual assault by 25 women, and had affairs with at least two adult movie stars. Trump has attempted to remove healthcare from all Americans which would literally be murder. His tax reform bill will increase the number of Americans living below the poverty line. Trump lacks compassion and may deport 800,000 young men and women who consider America their home. He is systematically forcing thousands of hard working men and women to leave our country; separating families. Trump is now targeting Haitians, and men and women from El Salvador. He is ignoring the principles and standards which made America the most respected nation in the world. Finally, he is ‘making America white again.’

The damage Trump is causing will eventually reach every man, woman, and child in America, and it will last forever. His efforts to replace democracy with fascism will end the America of our founding fathers. Trump is a destroyer and a divider, and the worst thing to every happen to our nation.
