The American people need Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker; we don’t need Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi. We need a “badass” to lead the Democratic Party. To this day I believe that Hillary Clinton would have crushed Trump if Elizabeth Warren had been her running mate.

Shutting our government down is never a good idea. However, when it happened, it was an opportunity for Democrats to show the world what a bully we have in the White House. Under the control of John Kelly and Stephen Miller, he has no intention of protecting the ‘Dreamers.’

When Schumer caved and allowed the shutdown to end, he played into Mitch McConnell’s hands. He gave away his position of power, and bowed to the weakest members of his own party.

Republicans lack sufficient support to win elections unless Democrats help them. Regardless of how much damage Vladimir Putin did to our 2016 election, If Hillary Clinton had gone on the attack, and her party had worked harder to get out the vote from Independents and Democrats, she would be living in the White House today.

Republicans play dirty, even unethically. When Democrats accept unwarranted attacks and refuse to double-down in their rebuttal, they lose their strength.

If Democrats are serious about winning the midterm elections in November, they must find a voice who will be truthful about the Republican Party and the evils it supports. No more Mr. Nice Guy; it doesn’t work.

Never forget that three states gave Trump the Electoral College, and the total number of votes was just over 77,000. Vote and take your country back from hypocritical GOP politicians.
