I am willing to bet that very few Americans are aware of the importance of the State Department. The truth is that it is as important, or more important than the Defense Department. Without a strong and extremely State Department staff, our nation cannot engage in intelligent conversation and negotiations with the leaders of other nations. Without the State Department we would constantly be at war with multiple nations. Sadly our current State Department is incapable of such diplomatic efforts. Since Trump’s election, seven of the nine top officials in the department have been released or have resigned.
Once again, I’m positive that it was of little importance to most Americans when Rex Tillerson was nominated to lead the State Department. They were not aware that his only life experience is related to the petroleum industry. They were also unaware that Trump had never met the man before he nominated him. So, why was he nominated and by whom? Tillerson is totally unqualified to be the Secretary of State.
Was this Trump’s plan from the beginning? If there is no State Department, all decisions will be made by Donald Trump; another move towards fascism. The Republican House and Senate are serving Trump, not the people. We now have two branches of government, not three. This, too, is fascism.
Trump has worked from day one to eliminate free speech in America. He is also attempting to establish a single religion in our nation and ban all others. He is mimicking King George III. In all honesty, he is planning to repeal the first amendment; the single most important section of the Constitution according to our founding fathers.
Trump placed other unqualified individuals as heads of agencies he seeks to destroy, including Health and Human Services, the Department of Education, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Finally, Trump is not an American; he is a capitalist. He will never serve all of our nation’s people because he chooses not to.
