Our nation has faced medically related crises before. Intelligent and compassionate presidents were universal in their initial action; they invited experts in the crisis to advise them and the Secretary of Health and Human Services, as well as others, about the best possible approach to finding a solution for the problem. Not Trump. Trump has given the problem to Kellyanne Conway. She knows nothing about anything, and is now responsible for ending a pattern which takes the lives of approximately 60,000 Americans each year. That is a higher number than that of women who die from breast cancer, and higher than the total number of deaths in the Vietnam War; 58,220.
Once again our government and the media have failed the people of the United States of America. The most important issues facing our nation are not being addressed by anyone who reaches millions of Americans; millions of voters. It is up to me and others like me to spread the truth, and keep the needs and wishes of the American people in the public eye.
Deaths from drug overdose affect all demographics. This is not a problem which occurs only in our inner cities or on the fringes of America. It happens in wealthy communities and the suburbs checker boarding our landscape.
Income inequality is growing. Thanks to Republican Party policies, fewer Americans are now included in the once dominant middle class. With the few jobs available to less-educated Americans remaining at minimum wage or only slightly above, the next step for many is poverty.
Today poverty stands at nearly 50 million Americans. Cuts in social programs by the Trump administration will result in an increase of that number. Together with low-income Americans, nearly one half of our nation’s 320 million people struggle to survive.
This fact is unforgivable. A small group of Americans are the reason the United States of America is the wealthiest nation in the world. Our country boasts 585 billionaires, including our illegitimate president, and 10.7 million millionaires. China has the second largest number of billionaires at 277. The population of the United States, in which over 100 million live in low-income and poverty, is approximately 320 million. The population of China is 1.379 billion.
The opioid crisis must be addressed seriously. Immigration is a problem; healthcare must be reformed; the minimum wage needs a serious increase; without a comprehensive discussion of education, our nation will be left behind economically and socially. To allow 60,000 deaths each year which could be prevented if professionals in areas of addiction, and the effects of prescription drugs were consulted is unforgivable.
This is a perfect example of the fact that Trump is without compassion or even mild interest in most Americans. He is the ultimate con man, and those who continue to support him choose to be complete idiots who believe that morals and white supremacy are of no interest to them.
We need real government. We deserve real Americans who believe in the principles and ideals of our founding fathers.
Demand more; rid our nation of an entire failed party. This nation belongs to you, not to politicians.
