The House passed an extension of the budget which will last until March 23^rd. Speaker Paul Ryan knows that it has no chance of passing in the senate because it contains elements which will be rejected by Democrats. So why the facade? Ryan appears to be less intelligent than his fuhrer, Donald Trump.

Democrats reject the amount of funding Republicans want to give to the Pentagon citing the enormous waste revealed in the past few years. They believe that other issues affecting our nation’s people must be fully funded. Also in contention is comprehensive immigration reform. Not only is the inclusion of DACA mandatory, but Trump’s plan to decrease all legal immigration is unacceptable to the entire Democratic Party.

Ryan has proven to be a complete failure. If a record turnout occurs on November 6^th, the House will be returned to Democrats and our nation will be saved from the current failed Speaker.

Ryan is not only a loser, he is our nation’s biggest hypocrite. Before the election he denounced Trump and called him unfit to be our nation’s president. Now he is the first Republican to bow to the orange man’s demands.

The senate is working on a bipartisan plan which would fund the government for the next two fiscal years. McConnell and Schumer are close to an agreement in which funding for the Pentagon and for social issues would almost be equal.

Ryan has not considered the needs or wishes of the American people once in more than a year. If the people of Wisconsin care about themselves and their families, they will remove Ryan from office in November.

That’s what I call ‘draining the swamp.’
