For years Republicans have been screaming about the deficit and government spending. They are ignoring the millions of dollars Trump has wasted in his first year of office playing golf, and continuing his life of luxury and privilege using taxpayer money. They have always been hypocrites, but they have managed to reach a new pinnacle.

Now Trump wants to have a ‘military parade’ down Pennsylvania Avenue. There is no reason for it. Our enemies hold similar parades to show military might and satisfy their dictator’s egos. Do we need to waste millions of dollars copying their laughable and wasteful efforts?

Logistics, and the damage to the streets will result in more waste of taxpayer dollars; money which could be used to aid our military and their families. Our government cheers our soldiers when they are risking their lives in foreign nations, but when they come home they are forgotten. Our politicians talk a big game, but fail to score when it’s important.

Trump has some idiotic ideas, and this may be the worst. If the Pentagon and Congress allows this debacle, they will be damned by the American people. I wouldn’t watcht this farce, and I encourage everyone in America to demand that it never happens, and if it does, pretend it never happened.

Where the hell has my country gone? Our government is a joke, and I am ashamed to be in this version of fascism supported by Republicans.
