Steve Bannon and His Outrageous Comments about the #MeToo Movement and Spreading more Hatred

Bannon (2)

Steve Bannon may be the only man in the world who is more despicable than Donald Trump. He shares a lack of morality with Trump; a belief in white supremacy; homophobia; xenophobia; and a belief that women have a single purpose. What makes Bannon worse is his intent to spread evil and encourage conversion to the dark side.

Bannon’s latest attacks are on the courageous women who have come forward to tell their stories about sexual harassment and sexual assault. Wealthy, powerful men have used their positions to make unwanted sexual advances towards women for a hundred years. Fear of losing their jobs, or simply the fact that they are embarrassed and ashamed prevented nearly all of them exposing their attackers.

Bannon doesn’t either believe them, or believes that men have a right to use women in any manner they choose.

Josh Green, a journalist for Bloomberg, reports that during his interview with Bannon, he referred to #MeToo and ‘Time’s Up’ as a mistake, and that they will “undo ten thousand years of recorded history.”

As Green conducted the interview, Bannon was watching the ‘Golden Globes.’ He made multiple comments regarding his belief that men are superior to women and that they must be subservient to men in every way. The following sums up both his beliefs and his fears.

“You watch. The time has come. Women are gonna take charge of society,” Bannon said, according to Green. “And they couldn’t juxtapose a better villain than Trump. He is the patriarch. This” — the Golden Globe Awards — “is a definitional moment in the culture. It’ll never be the same going forward.”

All I can say to Bannon is “from your mouth to God’s ears.” Old, white men have impeded the progress of our government and our nation for over 240 years. They have placed our nation into multiple unwinnable wars, and have failed to consider the needs of the people ahead of personal ambitions. While Trump is the worst president in American history, Hillary would have been one of the best. We need a different perspective in Washington; not a worse one.

It is easy to sum up the attitude in Washington today by listing the names of some of the men who have remained close supporters of Donald Trump. They include Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, John Kelly, Michael Flynn, Stephen Miller, Paul Manafort, Jeff Sessions, and John Cornyn.

Time for change, and we can win this war. On November 6th, vote out every Republican in office and put in power women and men who will represent you and those you love.
