The NRA is not a defender of the second amendment, and no longer a supporter of gun safety. They support capitalism and any ‘freedoms’ which protect their reality that profit is more important than public safety.

First a few facts; facts which are ignored by not only the NRA, but also by the political party they control.

33,000 Americans die from the use of a gun each year in the United States. England has an average of 26. In America 36 people die each day from gunshot wounds. At least 200 children die, or kill another child or adult after accessing a loaded weapon in the home each year. This year is on pace to achieve the same unforgivable record of the last two; there will be more mass shootings than days on the calendar. The greatest danger to the American people is not from foreign radicals, it is from white terrorism. The majority of the guns they use are purchased legally.

These are all facts that the Republican Party chooses to ignore while it accepts millions of dollars in donations each year from the NRA.

These hypocrites constantly shout ‘second amendment rights.’ This is a smoke screen. The second amendment is vague but not a single proposal from gun safety advocates would violate the basic meaning of the amendment. Our nation is obsessed with their toys of mass destruction, when it should be focused on the rights and safety of the majority.

Republicans and gun rights groups, who are lobbyists for the NRA, which is a lobby seeking to increase the profits of gun manufacturers and gun sellers, are secretly working to pass new legislation which will make it less safe to go about your everyday life. This is their premise. If an individual receives a ‘hidden carry’ permit in one state, it would be honored by all states. This means that if a man in Iowa travels to California, which has very strict gun laws, he would be allowed to have a loaded gun on his person although California law prohibits such action.

Law enforcement agencies across the nation are opposed to this bill, but Republicans continue to ignore experts and the will of the people; money and power are they only gods.

This is another reason why our nation; our people; must take back our country in November. Republicans are the enemy and if we remove them from office we remove all power from the worst president in American history. Please save our nation; encourage everyone you know to vote. This election will be the most important in history. Our country is moving backwards at a frightening pace. Democracy is under attack as fascism is moving in. Trump is a plutocrat, and he has placed others who share his views in power. Destroy him by ridding ourselves of the demons who support him in Washington.
