Today there are more rumors that Chief of Staff John Kelly will be leaving the White House soon. In just over a year the Trump White House has lost 34 percent of it high level advisory staff. Six of the top 12 have departed. To add some perspective, in his first year, President Obama lost one, and George W. Bush lost zero.
These facts appear to confirm allegations that if you are working in the West Wing, you must be willing to accept incidents of sudden rage from Donald Trump, and exist in an environment which remains chaotic.
No true professional would accept these conditions in the work place. Any man or woman who has value, and values themselves would not tolerate a Donald Trump.
We know that in the private sector Trump was not a ‘deal maker,’ he was a bully. He has extended that practice as your illegitimate president. Add to this the obvious fact that Trump’s weak temperament and fragile ego make him unpredictable, and extremely difficult to please, and no sane person would seek a position in the White House today.
Trump is now upset with John Kelly for having intentionally hidden the facts about Rob Porter. But this is simply another reason Trump is not fond of his Chief of Staff. Trump is a ‘control freak,’ and he has resisted Kelly’s efforts to force him to act semi-presidential. Could we be seeing a third Chief of Staff in just over one year?
There appear to be only two requirements for receiving a position in the Trump White House; you must be willing to lie for your boss, and you must be able to endure the ranting and raving of a tyrant. Good luck.
