After every mass shooting covered by the media, which is less than one percent, the NRA repeats the same old lies. Wayne LaPierre has an assistant in the process of spreading falsehoods in an attempt to convince weak-minded Americans that all guns should be available for purchase, and the answer to gun violence in schools is more guns.

On Friday Dana Loesch appeared on CNN, where she certainly felt safer than when she faced high school students the day before who literally eviscerated her. The first question she faced was about a lie she offered right wing extremists at CPAC earlier in the morning when she claimed that “many in the media love mass shootings,” because “crying white mothers are ratings gold.”

Before I continue bashing this ignorant woman, let’s tell the truth. It is the NRA which loves mass shootings. After every reported slaughter of innocents, gun sales increase.

“Why would you make a statement like that?” CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked.

Loesch paused for a long time and said; “because it’s true.”

Believe it or not, this was not the lowest point of Loesch’s vile rhetoric. I will not honor her by listing all of her remarks. If you would like to read them, the article will be attached. Suffice it to say that she made an extremely poor attempt to follow the NRA’s prescribed line of speech.

The gun lobby is over matched this time. Young Americans outnumber the old white men who love their guns and support the facade which calls itself the ‘National Rifle Association.’ This time LaPierre and his fellow criminals are facing an army which will not surrender until they win the war. This should have happened 30 years ago, and the many, many lives which were taken with the use of assault rifles never would have happened.

Our weapons are powerful. Any politician who refuses to support sensible and necessary gun laws can be voted out of office. Many of these high school seniors will be 18 before the November election, and they will have those weapons; their votes. As one of the students from Marjory Stoneham Douglas High School said: “You’re either with us or with the NRA.” It is us against the gun lobby and the Republican Party.

LaPierre and Loesch must be returned to the cesspool they crawled out of. They are the opposite of the term ‘American.’ Profit is more important than the safety of the American people.

My belief is that we must follow the lead of younger Americans or get out of the way.
