The announcement that Robert Mueller was looking into Trump’s alleged money laundering for Russian oligarchs resulted in Trump’s sudden decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum. In the last couple of days, porn star Stormy Daniels filed a lawsuit against the illegitimate President of the United States. Trump subsequently announced that he will meet one-on-one with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The State Department nor any of our national security agencies was given advance information about this decision. Only South Korean diplomats were privy to this decision. Is this another effort by Trump to deflect his growing legal problems, or will he actually meet with the North Korean dictator?
The fact we know is that this was another ‘adlib’ by Trump. The day he announced tariffs on steel and aluminum was at the end of a meeting when he had an “oh, by the way” moment.
No president in history has ever met with the Korean dictator. America’s policy has always been consistent. We do not legitimize dictators who violate the human rights of their country’s people. Sending delegates from the State Department to begin discussions is the proper and normal way in this situation. The problem is that we do not have an effective State Department. There is no longer an American ambassador in South Korea. The truth is that there is no expertise in our government related to North Korea. Secretary Rex Tillerson was a poor decision ordered by Vladimir Putin.
Here’s what I believe. I cannot be called an ‘expert’ about Trump and his jumbled mental process. However, I believe that I know as much as anyone else, having studied his every action since June of 2015. His announcement that he will meet with Kim Jong-un is not sincere. This is a primarily a publicity stunt. Secondly, it is another effort to remove the focus of the American people on Trump’s now proven collusion during our election in 2016, and multiple incidents of sexual misconduct.
Trump has no idea of how government works effectively. His administration is chaotic and unpredictable. This may work occasionally in the private sector, but in government dysfunction becomes reality and guarantees failure.
Trump continues to prove that he is the most dangerous and ignorant man in the world. How long will his cowardly and hypocritical party allow him to destroy democracy and establish a fascist regime? Vote Republicans out of office in November.
