Hypocrisy: “the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character or inclinations, especially with respect to religious and moral beliefs; hence in a general sense, hypocrisy may involve dissimulation, pretense, or a sham. Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another. In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one’s own expressed moral rules and principles.”
The above definition describes the Republican Party of 2018. They have no interest in serving the majority of the American people. They are the party of special interests. GOP politicians are not concerned that Trump lies about everything, and is the most immoral man ever to soil the White House sheets. As long as they control all three branches of government, they will continue to bow to their fuhrer.
It was reported by the Washington Press Corps today that Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee are anxious to end the investigation into Trump’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. What they are not interested in is the fact that Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, and multiple other members of Trump’s team have lied or refused to answer questions, which are nothing less than lies of omission.
Republicans hate the truth, and love deception; this is how they have remained a viable party for the last 25 years. They have proven to be dedicated to special interests, and their personal financial advancement.
“If you have enough balls to come to a congressional hearing and raise your hand saying you swear to tell the truth and it comes out that you’re lying, then there should be consequences for that,” Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.), a top member of the committee, said in an interview.
This is what one Republican stated to reporters; but did he mean it? Hell no.
When confronted with the fact the Betsy DeVoss’ brother, who was the former head of Blackwater, lied to Congress, this was his response.
“I’m very satisfied with Erik Prince’s testimony,” Rooney said.
Republicans are desperate to cover-up the truth. There is incontrovertible circumstantial evidence that Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin in the 2016 election. Every significant member of his campaign staff had meetings with Russian agents prior to the election.
The party of lies and deception is desperate to maintain control of the White House. They simply don’t care if their leader is a white supremacist, a sexual predator, and a traitor to the United States of America.
Finally; what I do not understand is why Republicans are fighting so hard to save their party. It has been imploding since 2010, and nothing can stop that fact. Extremists are in control of the GOP, and Lyin Paul Ryan and Mitch “the traitor” McConnell are failed leaders who cannot call themselves true Republicans.
Our government is entirely dysfunctional. It no longer has the ability to deliberate and compromise. This is factual simply because they refuse to be involved in our democratic republic. They are devoted to Trump because he joins them in their desire to reform America into a fascist state.
My fellow Americans; it’s your choice. Will you choose to live under a government which rules over you, or demand that your elected officials serve you and address your needs and wishes as our founding fathers intended? If you vote all Republicans out of office, you will not only be a part of the second American Revolution; you will have served your loved ones, your friends, and your neighbors. We have the power; we have the vote. November 6th is coming soon. This will be the day when America rises from the filth of a Trump presidency, or the day we surrender to a man who worships Hitler and Putin.
