The Biggest Question Facing America: “How Ignorant is Donald Trump?”

Trump (4)

What we have learned about Donald Trump since June of 2015 is that he has given the late-night comics and Saturday Night Live more material than they can use. He is completely ignorant about the inner workings of government and is out of touch with all Americans other than the wealthy, and his fellow white supremacists.

His lack of ability to negotiate; or as he says ‘make deals,’ is frightening , especially now that he will possibly be meeting with Kim Jong-un. His inability to understand how good laws are passed has contributed to a dysfunctional government. His huge ego and lack of intellect allow him to easily be manipulated by Vladimir Putin, the Royal Prince of Saudi Arabia, and others who play him for a fool.

Not only is Trump the world’s biggest liar, he is one of the most ignorant men in the world. He lacks communications skills, and his decisions are hastily made and harmful to the people of America and the world.

Ignorance is the one word to describe Donny Boy. Greed is the word which defines all of his proposals. But just how ignorant is he? On a scale of one to 10, he is a 10+. He proved that to be a fact when he suggested arming teachers, and janitors after the tragedy in a Florida high school.

His latest suggestion tops the stupidity chart.

The answer is you have to have strength and you have to have toughness. The drug dealers, drug pushers—they’re really doing damage.” he said. “Some countries have a very, very tough penalty. The ultimate penalty. And, by the way, they have much less of a drug problem than we do. So we’re going to have to be very strong on penalties.”

Yes, you read that correctly; Trump is suggesting that drug dealers should be executed in the same manner that the Filipino dictator Rodrigo Duterte is doing today.

Trump lacks the intelligence to understand the underlying reasons for the opioid crisis.

Let’s begin at the source. The pharmaceutical companies and the FDA were fully aware that these strong painkillers were extremely addictive. They didn’t care; billions of dollars in profits was the driving force. Next they sent their sales representatives to thousands of doctors across the nation. They were paid to lie. They claimed that they were not especially addictive. The next step was that doctors began to prescribe them for anyone who claimed to have chronic pain. And so it began.

Last year approximately 58,000 men and women died from a drug overdose. Each of them was in some way connected to opioid addiction. When opioids became less available and the price rose beyond the ability of many of those addicts to afford prescription pain killers, they turned to the less costly and more easily attainable heroin.

Instead of learning the truth, Trump sprinted ahead of the root cause, and is blaming the drug dealers exclusively. His statement reveals that he believes killing them will solve the problem. This is ignorance at its peak.

Let’s do something Republicans and their failed leader hate; offer facts. Most small time drug dealers did not choose this as their profession. It began when they were offered an opportunity to supply their own addiction through the illegal sale of their very own drug of choice.

Trump’s ignorance has failed the American people and is preventing the ability of law enforcement and the medical profession to find a solution which would slow and eventually end the present opioid crisis. An intelligent president would have met with experts on addiction, the effects of these strong painkillers on the minds and bodies of those affected, additional education for the medical community, and treatment options for those who slip into a level of addiction.

This is not Donald Trump. His lack of ability to understand the basic reasons for all crime, forbids him to consider any other methods than punishment.

America has approximately four percent of the world’s population. We also have 25 percent of the world’s men and women who are incarcerated. A lack of intelligent action by the judicial system and our politicians has resulted in the largest percentage of recidivism in the world.

Once again; our nation’s elected officials must do better. A part of the problem is the fact that the majority of America’s voters cast they ballots for a party instead of the most qualified candidate. Nothing proves this more than the November 8, 2016 election. Our nation’s people must become better informed and use their intellect, not their emotions when they go to the polls.
