Member of Alt Right, former head of Breitbart, and close associate of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, spoke to members of the extreme right wing in France yesterday. He had a sad and worrisome message.
“Let them call you racists,” Bannon said to the French National Front Party. “Let them call you xenophobes. Let them call you nativists. Wear it as a badge of honor.”
He actually said ‘honor.’ What ‘honor’ is there in promoting hatred and violence against other men who have committed no crime other than the fact that they don’t look like you and may have darker skin? This is the idiocy of far too many white Americans who have chosen ignorance and rejected intelligence. Bannon may represent Trump’s vision of America, but he does not represent the majority.
White supremacists and most Republicans use euphemisms to disguise their true selves. “I think President Trump has been pretty straightforward in saying, hey, when we first started, some of these advisers are what he would call globalists, and he’s clearly pivoting to more economic nationalism.”
For instance, ‘economic nationalsm’ is a term which actually means ‘plutocray.’ Plutocracy is rule by white capitalists. The working class is forced to serve the rich.
“He’s got to energize that base and turn that base out,” he said.
Trump’s ‘base’ is composed of white supremacists who believe in the true meaning of his ridiculous hats, which are actually another euphemism for “make America white again.”
Any expert in sociology will tell you that you are defined by those you are closest to. Trump’s first three choices for his White House staff were Reince Priebus, Jeff Sessions, and Steve Bannon. Sessions was his selection for Attorney General. Priebus was always a big question, having led the effort to derail Trump’s candidacy. Sessions and Bannon are well-known white supremacists. Today the two closest to Trump on his staff are John Kelly and Stephen Miller; both white supremacists.
Every action from Trump and his administration has been focused on harming minorities and increasing the wealth of their fuhrer and other billionaires and millionaires. They have shunned the working class, minorities, Muslims, Jews, and all other religions with the exception of Christianity.
Republican politicians simply ignore the fact that Trump and Sessions are making huge changes to our laws. These laws were altered during the Trump administration to treat minorities equally under state and federal statutes. Sadly Sessions and Trump have reversed these efforts and reinstated longer terms and harsher punishment for non-violent crime. This is a blatant effort to keep African Americans and Hispanics in our nation’s prisons for a lengthy period of time. This why our nation has only 4 percent of the population, and 25 percent of the world’s men and women in prison.
How long will the American people accept these extreme actions of pure racism. Old, white men have harmed our nation for hundreds of years. It’s time for change. Younger Americans and women must engage in our nation’s political system and take control of a nation which has become less respected than at any other time in its history.
