In 2008 America’s economy nearly crashed. Incoming President Barrack Obama inherited the ‘great recession,’ along with two costly wars. As the foreclosures began and the unemployment rate began to rise, the victims; the American people; suffered. Not all of our nation’s people struggled under the worst economy in 79 years; the wealthiest Americans flourished and added millions of dollars to their offshore accounts. We, the working class wanted to know why our government failed us. When we learned the reasons, we became angry and demanded that the current laws be altered to protect consumers.

In 2010 the Consumer Financial Protection Burearu was created under the guidance of President Obama. Republicans fought against its creation. A major reason for the great recession was fraud committed by Wall Street bankers. They gave home loans to tens of thousands of Americans under false pretenses. When the recession came, they foreclosed on those same homes. In addition, the executives of those same banks used their consumer’s deposits to finance business deals which often failed. To this day not one of these criminals has been prosecuted, while our government voted to give them interest free loans.

Today, Senate Republicans and 17 traitorous Democrats voted to remove almost all of the regulations which prevented banks from forcing another recession. Our government has become the enemy of the working class.

Mitch McConnell claims that this will aid community banks. The truth is that these same banks are thriving today. Are you tired of being lied to by Trump and his failed party? You should be.

Capitalism has failed the working class. Income inequality is one of the greatest problems facing our nation today, and this will make it far worse.

Every action by Trump, McConnell and Ryan has been a gift to the wealthy, and harmful to the working class. The goal of our government, Republicans and some Democrats, is to end democracy in America and create a plutocracy. A plutocracy cannot exist without fascism. This is where we will be in less than a year.

A second American Revolution is the only answer. We must elect more women and younger Americans and destroy our old, white government which is failing to serve us. We, the working class, are the United States of America, and this is our country, not our government’s. They are public servants, and if they choose not to serve the majority, they must be sent back home to beg for $7.25 minimum wage jobs.

The most important election in history will happen on November 6, 2018; please vote for yourself and not a political party which has failed you and yours for more than 25 years.
