Trump Will Lose his Battles with McCabe and Mueller; he is Greatly Overmatched

Trump ugly

Trump never met a mistake or a lie he doesn’t like. His greatest mistake is the result of his fragile ego. He believes that he is very intelligent, and that he, alone, knows everything about everything. He has proven to the world in the last 13 months and 26 days that he is severely mentally challenged, and unable to formulate intelligent solutions to complicated situations.

By ordering the firing of high ranking FBI agent Andrew McCabe, just two days before his announced retirement, and hinting at the possible firing of special counsel, Robert Mueller, he has declared war not only on the FBI but also the entire justice department. This is a war in which Trump is virtually unarmed.

Members of his own party have expressed deep concerns about his actions, which are intended to disrupt the independence of our law enforcement agencies. Trump must be taught an important lesson; he is an elected public servant, not a despot like his mentor, Vladimir Putin.

Today Florida Senator, and former challenger for the Republican nomination in 2016, Marco Rubio, appeared on “Meet the Press” and discussed Trump’s demands that all investigations into his association with Russia and Putin be halted immediately.

“It is not a collusion probe. It is much broader than that,” Rubio said. “I remain confident that the special counsel is going to conduct a probe that is fair and thorough and is going to arrive at the truth.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and another presidential hopeful, told CNN’s Jake Tapper that he thought Mueller was “doing a good job” and that if Trump fired him, it “would be the beginning of the end of his presidency, because we are a rule-of-laws nation.”

“When it comes to Mr. Mueller, he is following the evidence where it takes him and I think it’s very important he be allowed to do his job without interference,” Graham said. “And there are many Republicans who share my view.”

Both senators are sending a message to their illegitimate president. We, too, can send Trump a message on November 6th. We, the voting public, can make him impotent and crush his fragile ego. Return control of congress to the Democrats and Independents.
