Trump’s gift of his illegitimate presidency is not based on the fact that the least qualified, and most white supremacist man in history won the Electoral College with the assistance of Russian agents, it is the result of millions of ignorant Americans who wanted drastic change in our federal government. They got what they thought the desired, but it was far more than what they hoped.

They elected another Putin; another Hitler.

Rural Americans voted for Trump, and they are now the men, women, and children who are suffering the most; and it’s only going to get worse. His intent to repeal Obamacare, his tax plan, his budget, every proposal is focused on reducing the quality of life for the majority and gifting billions of dollars to himself and other Americans.

Here’s the truth. The evil that lives in Washington is not solely contained in one Donald J. Trump. Our entire government refuses to listen to we, the people. The majority has been ignored for far too long. The politicians refuse to look at the polls regarding any of the important issues. What we want; universal healthcare, free college education, banning military assault rifles, protecting the ‘Dreamers,’ ending the opioid crisis, full equality for all women, and closing the gap in income inequality; are not on the list of priorities for our overpaid and under-worked elected officials.

Who is to blame for our dysfunctional government? We are. We elected them based on television ads, campaign promises, or the fact that they had an “R” or a “D” next to their name on the ballot. Few voters take the time to examine the records of those who receive their votes. Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Ted Cruz, Steve King, John Cornyn, Orrin Hatch, Chuck Grassley and dozens of other old, white men would not have their lives of luxury and privilege if they had not received the votes of millions of ignorant Americans.

Let’s begin a new trend on November 6, 2018; let’s cast our votes for the we, the people. Few politicians deserve your votes. If America is to join the rest of the developed world, we must stop electing dirty old men such as Trump. The average age in our nation is 37.8 years of age. There are more women than men in our country. We must elect more women and younger candidates who will truly represent all of our nation’s people. The revolution has begun; this time it could be world changing.
