Trump’s supporters are different; different from real Americans who believe in the Constitution and the principles of our founding fathers. One typical Trump devotee is Ted Nugent. Trump had him come to the White House for dinner. The failed musician is loyal to the NRA as well, and loves his guns more than he loves any human being on the planet other than himself. Mr. Nugent is the epitome of what is wrong with America.
He is very critical of the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Texas.
“These poor children, I’m afraid to say this and it hurts me to say this, the evidence is irrefutable: They have no souls,” Nugent said on a Friday airing of Newsmax’s Joe Pags Show. He described them as “mushy-brained children who have been fed lies.” After hearing some clips of student leaders David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez, Nugent said they were warring against “good law-abiding families of America.”
He added, “I really feel sorry for them, because it’s not only ignorant and dangerously stupid, but it’s soulless.”
I don’t need to say it. When any man is willing to openly display what can only be called ‘exceptional stupidity,’ he or she must receive pity and be forgiven for their lack of mental acuity.
This is the same man who called a real president, Barrack Obama, a “subhuman mongrel,” and Hillary Clinton a “worthless bitch.” I am certain that they wore these attacks as a badge of honor. When the most despicable people in the world, such as Nugent, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Donald Trump, and other right wing extremists call you names or impugn your credibility, you have been telling the truth; and the truth is the one enemy they can never defeat.
Nugent is typical of a Trump supporter, and Hillary was justified in calling ‘some of Trump’s supporters’ a “basket of deplorables.”
David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez are heroes, and I seldom offer that adjective to any human being. Doing the right thing for the right reasons takes great courage, and our young Americans are the definition of ‘patriotism.’
