Texas, which continues its efforts to become the most racist state in the union, has reportedly sent 250 National Guard troops to the Mexican border, against the wishes of the Pentagon. They are the first red state to bow to Trump’s idea of “protecting our border.”
The truth is; and Trump knows this as a fact; the number of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border is at its lowest rate since 1971. Sending members of the National Guard to secure our border is ludicrous. They are not trained border patrol agents.
The truth is that this is nothing more than an effort to appease his racist supporters. Trump is the leader of a growing white supremacist movement in America.
We remain uninformed about these members of the National Guard. Will they be armed? What will they actually be doing? Will they be in stationary locations, or will they patrol miles of open land?
Trump’s second effort this week to display his extreme racism reverses a policy established by President Obama known as “catch and release.” Men and women who were caught attempting to cross our border were detained and then sent back to Mexico. Trump has ordered the justice department to detain them in our prisons while they await trial.
This is pure idiocy. Our prisons will become even more crowded, and the same situation will occur in our courts. This is unnecessary and cruel.
Jeff Sessions is pleased. His primary goal since becoming the Attorney General has been to imprison more African Americans and Hispanics. This change in immigration policy will give him his first orgasm in 30 years.
If the world judges the United States by its government, you must be ashamed of your country. At no time in our nation’s history has stupidity been the norm in the White House until now. Republicans refuse to criticize the many obvious failures of the Trump administration. They support Trump’s racist views, and join him in his belief of white supremacy.
On November 6th let’s reverse this un-American trend. Let’s vote all racists from office, and that means every Republican. We can end Trump’s negative movement by removing his power. Please vote, and encourage others to follow your lead.
