You Know Trump was Lying when He Spoke to Farmers; his Lips were Moving

DT (2)

There’ll be a little work to be done, but the farmers will be better off than they ever were,” Trump told reporters Monday during a cabinet meeting at the White House.

The Chinese “hit the farmers specifically because they think that hits me,” Trump said Monday.

I wouldn’t say that’s nice, but I tell you our farmers are great patriots,” Trump added. “They understand that they’re doing this for the country. We’ll make it up to them.”

These are the lies Trump told Farmers after he began a trade war with China by placing 25 percent tariffs on multiple Chinese exports to the United States. Retaliation was nearly instantaneous as China placed tariffs on 106 American exports. They include several “taxes” on food products grown by our farmers specifically for Chinese consumption including soy beans.

Trump is placing our nation in a precarious situation. We are still recovering from George W. Bush’s failed economic policies and his decision to wage two unwinnable wars. Our industries cannot afford to face a loss of income from any source.

The truth is that all Americans will pay for Trump’s rash decision. We, the consumers, will pay more for items imported from China and any other nation on which Trump has imposed tariffs. Trump and Ivanka have multiple clothing items produced in China, but these items will not have tariffs attached to them. Very interesting.

Can you say “corruption?”
