Until Trump was elected, Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, had the American people fooled; this fact included yours truly. I previously believed that he was intelligent, and had the needs and wishes of all Americans as his first priority. We now know that he is a traitor to the American people, and the biggest hypocrite in the Republican Party. He has bowed to every demand of fuhrer Donald Trump.
He realizes that all Republicans face a challenge in November because they have supported Trump without question. In addition, he has learned the same lesson which forced John Boehner from his position. There are three separate factions in the Republican Party, and none of them are willing to work with each other. GOP politicians have moved so far to the right that they are completely dysfunctional.
“Speaker Ryan sees what is coming in November, and is calling it quits rather than standing behind a House Republican agenda to increase healthcare costs for middle class families while slashing Social Security and Medicare to pay for his handouts to the richest and largest corporations,” Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesman Tyler Law said in a statement. “Unfortunately, for the many vulnerable House Republicans that Paul Ryan is abandoning, his historically unpopular and failed policies will hang over their reelections like a dark cloud.”
Now let’s work on the expulsion of America’s number one traitor, Mitch McConnell. This old, and self-serving man has accomplished nothing positive for the American people in over 30 years in the Senate. He and Orrin Hatch are joint poster boys for the establishment of term limits in congress.
The truth is that there are far too many old men and a few older women in congress. The average age of the American people is 37.8 years of age. Women outnumber men. If Washington is able to represent all Americans, we need more women and many younger Americans in the House and Senate. Encourage those you know to run for office and make a real change in our government and how it functions.
Old, white men in Washington have failed our nation for far too long. We can save our government by removing Republicans from office and electing younger men and women who are progressive, not regressive.
