Senator Bob Corker is not a Very Good Con Artist; Trump’s Tax Plan is a Bust

Corker

During Trump’s campaign, Tennessee Senator Bob Corker was one of his biggest supporters. After he was denied a cabinet post, he made the decision not to run for reelection in November. Corker proceeded to question Trump’s mental stability. However, he continued to vote as Trump instructed him, and eventually found him back in his good graces.

Corker voted in favor of Trump’s self-serving tax plan, and now he’s complaining about it. The truth is that not a single Senator who voted for the bill read it prior to casting their votes. Corker claims that he is against it for a single reason; it will greatly increase the deficit.

If it ends up costing what has been laid out here, it could well be one of the worst votes I’ve made,” he said at a Senate Budget Committee hearing on the Congressional Budget Office estimate that produced the figure.

He is pretending to be shocked that the bill will add 1.9 trillion dollars to the deficit, although this was a well-known fact before the vote was held.

What would any man or woman with common sense think. Large corporations will pay a far smaller share of taxes under Trump’s plan. The one-percent will pay less tax, and in a year and a half the middle class will lose their tax breaks and be forced to pay for the permanent breaks for the wealthy. Where will the money come from to keep our nation in recovery mode begun by President Obama?

Always remember, Corker is a Republican; if he’s speaking, he’s lying. He will do anything to save his pitiful reputation and future ambitions.

Finally, Corker is a typical Republican; it’s past time to send them all home; permanently. Vote all Republicans out of office on November 6th.
