Trump is his own worst enemy. His tweets have been fodder for comics and Saturday Night Live for 14 months and 21 days. His attempts to violate the Constitution have been reversed by the court system multiple times. His historically low approval rating is the result of his own actions and words. Trump’s aides in the White House are extremely fearful that he will end his own presidency by firing Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller.
It appears that he will ignore warnings from Republican leaders and his own White House advisers in a desperate attempt to end the investigation into his connections and relationship with Vladimir Putin during and after the 2016 presidential campaign. This does not end the investigation; congress will decide how and if it continues. The amount of circumstantial evidence that he and his staff colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign is enormous.
What has changed Trump’s mind about firing Mueller and Rosenstein? I happened two days ago when the Justice Department obtained warrants to search the home, office, and hotel room of Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen. He most certainly has a large amount of information about Trump’s business arrangements; the ones he has been hiding by refusing to reveal his tax records. Yes, Mary, your president is a crook, and he will sign an executive order which will result in his own demise.
