The 2016 presidential election will always remain controversial. After a plethora of evidence was produced from various sources, there can no longer be any question that the election was, as Trump said, ‘fixed.’ The greatest damage were the effects of false stories and accusations on social media which either changed voters minds, or more importantly encouraged them to stay home from the polls.
On November 8, 2016, only 58 percent of eligible voters cast their ballots. The number of men and women who fit voting requirements in America is approximately 250 million. Statistics prove that if the election had experienced just a five percent greater turnout, Hillary Clinton would be living in the White House today. Trump was gifted the Electoral College by three states; Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The total difference in the number of votes in all three states was just over 77,000.
Historical records reveal a single fact which is of major concern for Democrats. A large voter turnout indicates a win for progressives. Sadly, Democrats are notoriously lethargic during midterm elections.
This year women have been working diligently to register everyone. Multiple celebrities are doing the same. Billionaire Tom Steyer is spending millions of dollars attempting to encourage millennials to become involved in our political system and vote.
If the results in several red states and red areas in blue states are an accurate indicator, the November 6th turnout will be historical for a midterm.
Retaking the House and the Senate will make Trump completely impotent. His evil agenda will be stopped before all democracy is gone from our nation.
Join the revolution; you’ll be glad that you did.
